Entering the "temple" is a shock to your body. You go from a dry, air-conditioned environment to a soupy humid spritzer at least 20 degrees warmer. As I rounded the first corner, the first denizens of this tropical world stared back at me. Golden crocodiles. There are only 12 in the world, and three are here. Even though they're reptiles, I think the heat was getting to them too because they were pretty much just floating around in the water, being as inactive as possible. They were also probably a little lonely...which is why their arms are spread apart like they want a hug. I got into a staring contest with the croc in the last picture, but I lost. Then again, even the flash on my camera didn't phase him, so he probably never even saw me. Cheater.
