On the opposite side of the golden crocodiles was a water monitor. They're related to komodo dragons, and to be honest, I'm not all that sure how they're different. This one was a female (you can tell by the longass fingernails) and if you look carefully, it seems like she has one of those Mona Lisa smiles. I guess she saw me with my camera. Either that, or I really do attract the wrong kind of women. In the next room, the more aquatic creatures were predominant, including this tank full of nothing but skates and rays. At first I thought it was full of water-based pokemon... you can see the little smiley face on the underside of the ray captured in my photo. But when I went up to the glass and said "Squirtle! Squirtle!", they ignored me. So I'm pretty sure they're just regular old rays. Even so, they're very graceful as they glide effortlessly through the water.
