Progressing further along, one enters a replica sunken ship. Albeit a sunken ship with multi-inch thick viewing windows and electrical lighting. It was nifty having windows not only around us, but also in our "ceiling" and our floor, as the first photo shows. The water is clear, but this tank is so big that you can't see where it ends. This has the really cool effect of seeing a shadow in the distance slowly turn into a shark swimming towards you. The second to last part of the tour is the underwater tunnel, which is completely made of glass... even part of the floor. You are literally surrounded by all the marine life and they swim by you, above you, beneath you in every direction. Most of the sharks are of the smaller species, but the nurse and tiger sharks were of a respectable size. If their eyesight gets better, maybe they'll be able to see the cracks in the glass and we'll have "Deep Blue Sea II".
