May 17th, 2002. I woke up super early...like 5:45 AM. Showered, dressed, and headed to the breakfast buffet at the Mirage. Unlike dinner buffets, breakfasts are pretty much the same no matter where you go. Pancakes, french toast, eggs, bacon/sausages, cereal, fruit, etc.... But since I was headed to the north end of the strip today, I figured I'd go to one that was nearby and in my general direction of travel. I passed by Caesar's Palace on the way, as you can see here. What you can't see is the construction on the far right that is taking place for an addition. There's always something being built in Vegas it seems. This is also the only time in the day where it's actually comfortable outside in late May. There were lots of joggers on the sidewalk, and I still don't know if they were the native residents or hotel patrons. Guess those showgirls gotta keep in shape somehow.
