The MGM Grand hotel and casino. When Metro Picture Corporation (1915), Goldwyn Picture Corporation (1917) and Louis B. Mayer Pictures (1918) joined forces, they couldn't possibly have forseen such a complex as this within their media empire. (how's that for a subtle history lesson) Actually, the MGM-Mirage group owns and operates this, the Bellagio, New York New York, the Mirage, Treasure Island, and the Golden Nugget. Talk about your uber-consortiums. They take great pride in the entertainment offered here...a large jumbotron-type screen flashes a perpetually running commercial of upcoming engagements.
