The Tropicana Hotel and Casino. If and when I return to Las Vegas, this is one of the hotels I would consider staying at. It has a decent somewhat centralized location, a bigger pool than my hotel's, and they give away lots of free stuff in the casino. Well, mostly free stuff. There's this big spinny wheel thing outside that gives everybody who walks by a free spin per day. You can win all sorts of prizes, but the default is a bunch of coupons, including one for a free deck of cards. I tried it twice and got the coupons both times. They also have this setup in the casino where you can pay 20 bucks for 50 dollars worth of slot play on special machines. You play till you either run out of credits or have won a cash prize. But if you don't win any money, you get your choice of a consolation prize from a glass display case. While I'm sure the stuff in there didn't cost the hotel much, the selection was pretty good and I did walk away with a very nice beach towel. There's also multiple shows that are held on the premises and the gambling museum (shown later) is housed here.
